Choosing a floor plan with StoneMill is so much more than picking out a blueprint. What you see is only the start of what you get! Want a bigger kitchen? A wraparound porch? An extra bathroom? A garage on the opposite side? The complementary services of our in-house design team are available to modify one of our standard plans or customize a plan to meet your specific needs.

Our 5-step process

We’re here to make the process of building your log or timber frame home as carefree as the life you want to live in it. Aeronautical engineer Kelly Johnson, who worked with complex designs and systems at Lockheed, is credited with coming up with the KISS Principle. The idea is that simpler systems work better than more complicated ones, so the goal should be to make simplicity the key and avoid complexities, or more simply put, “keep it short and straight forward.” We get that. And that’s why we have developed a five-step process to simplify the first steps of your journey.

Our President and East Tennessee Lender, Kimberly Richards, has a BA in Legal Studies and has been in the mortgage industry since 1985. She has worked as a processor, loan officer, underwriter, branch manager, and forensic mortgage auditor. As an auditor, she worked with federal entities and private investors who were purchasing mortgage loans from individual banks. The audit would review the file for fraud and the lien position of the current lender. Last several years she has originated loans and operated branches in TN, GA, AL, MS, and TX. One-time Close Construction Loans

For Manufactured, Modular, and Stick Built properties: finance the construction, lot purchase, and permanent mortgage all with a single One-Time Close loan. No Re-Qualification. No Second Appraisal.
